This was a fun listen. And at this length, this saying a *lot*. I got to learn quite a few things about Troisnyx that I did not know! Great focus on the topics at hand without any extra frills that would perhaps 'cheapen' the experience. Keep it up :D

I like the vibe here - and it's very minimalistic. Interesting how it gets pretty jazzy at the end, too :D

Wow. I feel like I just got transported back to early 90's, booted up a tracker, and loaded up another amazing MOD music piece to listen to (who reading this remembers those days? :D) ... the energy is insane - once you hit play, you just can't find that pause button until you're met with silence .. and then you still can't find it 'cause it's a play button again! xD The piece changes up constantly - there's absolutely nothing stale anywhere. Hats off :D

If all cheese and corn tasted like this... I don't believe it'd ever get a bad rap ;)

I very much enjoyed the song and its soundscape :) Lost track of how many times I pressed play xD

Troisnyx responds:

Gosh -- thank you! I wasn't entirely expecting it for a short track such as this but I am glad it went down well.

Finally got to listen to the completed version :D Well done!

JessieYun responds:

Hey siteml,
Thank you very much for the comment! Iā€™m glad.

Jesus, this is sick. I have no words other than... I want to get that good at some point! The dynamics, the flow, the subtleties, all perfectly etching into a story. I rarely give 5 stars, and I usually have comments for improvement. You've given me an impossible task here, though xD Hats off!

JessieYun responds:

Hey siteml,
Thanks a lot for the comment, I'm very glad you think so! Glad that you loved it.

Damn... I work with the same tools (EWQL/ComposerCloud and FL Studio) and I have been heavily delving into orchestral side of things .... but even though this is more of the marching band side of things, you still remind me I have a lot to work on to get better xD Hats off.

JessieYun responds:

Hi siteml,
Thanks a lot for the comment! I'm very glad :)

Wow, nice and clean. I like how you used low and high quality parts. The part where the rain comes in kinda had me a bit confused and straining to find the guitar in the rain (and the other effect) - I figure that was a purposeful choice so I didn't take off a half star for it (I otherwise would have, bite me ;P). Great job!

GameBoyFireworks responds:

Thank you! :)

I was thrown off by the category, I will say lol. I don't count myself among fans of rap or hip hop, but this piece sits well with me. The reason for the half star off is a slight muddiness - probably due to a lot of reverb, some overcrowding at times, and the drawn out sub bass bits aren't helping the situation. Speaking from experience here - the more reverb you put, the fewer instruments you should have going at any one time, or you risk audio mush. One tip to deal with that sort of problem that I learned about a year or so ago is to *mix in mono*. Yes, mono. Any sort of muddled sound will show up in force when you do that, and fixing it will be a lot easier that way.

Either way, keep up the good work :)

Making music has been a hobby and a passion for me since about 1996 - so as of summer of 2017 it's celebrating its turning drinking age! I've also engaged in other artistic forms like drawing/painting and poetry, but they have not been as prevalent.
