I can sum this up in one word: WOW! :)

I still have the original copy on one of my drives. Just like There She Is, there's a message of a gem in there... If you can get your hands on a copy, I highly recommend :)

I've just come back to this years and years later; in fact, I remember when just the original step 1 was out. Each and every episode after that has been a masterpiece after masterpiece. This is not about the art style (one could argue perspective and realism, I don't care here), but this is all about the message. This dove DEEP. All the music artists involved, deep kudos, Sambakza kudos for selecting the right music for each animation, and the message with each episode is clear; it's all absolutely timeless. 12 years after the last step, I am still awaiting the "another step" animation, too. I contributed a bit of change at some point and was surprised at being credited, but it just goes to show how much the folks at SamBakZa appreciate what's happened in all these years. Again, glad to be a part of this, and glad to have witnessed this point in history, no matter how trifle it may seem in others' minds. And I can't wait to see what they come up with going forward. They have their style, and I'm here to rock it out with them!

This was quite wonderful and heartwarming. There was clearly a lot of effort put in to making sure the piano playing looked accurate; the story was well thought out and built up the characters well. I couldn't help but smile once I was done watching :D

I like the different camera angles accompanying the singing. The whole atmosphere and style reminds me of something, can't put my finger on it, though. Nicely done :)

That was kinda all over the place. I came in not knowing what to expect, and my expectations were met lol. The ending was like... wtf xD I feel like there needed to be more, too.

This is a huge part of what made the Newgrounds experience so great for me back in the day. And I still come back to watch this for inspiration. I'm sure I'm not alone in this!

I would love to see some new work - you have the touch for this, so to speak, and it would be neat to see where it's evolved to nowadays - and if you haven't had time to make anything since, that's okay, too! If you ever feel like posting something new, I get the feeling (if you're the same way about these things as me) even if you produce something you consider substandard, we'll still gobble it up and look with hungry eyes for more tasty treats. And yes, I'm just being greedy... xD

Just allowing myself to comment in parallel about my own growth: when I'd not produce music for a while, yes, I'd get rusty, but sometimes I'd come up with fresh ideas, do something odd and clunky and spur on new works from there. Sometimes, the next work would suck, as a getting-back-on-my-feet type of deal. But it's like riding a bicycle. You quickly refresh that "muscle memory" and get back to where you were. And then progress beyond it.

In that regard, I hope the silence on NG means you've found commercial success with your skill, as opposed to just shelving this shiny jewel of a talent to do a different/unrelated day job. Not saying it's easy - clearly the bits you have posted have taken a gargantuan effort and time investment to complete. But at the end of the day, wasn't it worth it to just step back, say "wow" and admire the result of a process that took an idea and made it tangible? Cheers.

Making music has been a hobby and a passion for me since about 1996 - so as of summer of 2017 it's celebrating its turning drinking age! I've also engaged in other artistic forms like drawing/painting and poetry, but they have not been as prevalent.
